DOWNTOWN PARRY SOUND

You can find it all in Downtown Parry Sound. Unique Shops, Summer Market in Market Square Park, Fine Cuisine & Eateries, Walk the trails along the shores enjoying the beautiful view of Georgian Bay. Visit our Fire Hall Mseum or Jukes Lane off James St which displays local works of Art in a must see location that includes two seasonal murals. While exploring Downtown check out our history with our 3 larger murals-The Bragg Load covers the whole side of one building, and the CNR and CP murals stand 8 feet high and 32 feet long. Need a rest, we supply parkettes with benches, trees and flowers with in the Downtown and our merchants have bistro tables and chairs on the sidewalks for you to met, chat and rest. Wednesday nights at 7 pm July and August come down to the Docks and relax while listening to our Free Concerts, above Downtown is the longest CPR trestle bridge in Ontario, The trestle of steel and concrete spanning over 1,765 feet and is 110 feet above the mouth of the Seguin Bridge.. this and so much more. Mark these dates on your calendar SUMMER SIDEWALK SALE - June 13th, 5-8pm James Street will be closed and The Argues will be playing. Food trucks, stores will be offering great deals, tables and chairs will be set up. The sidewalk sale continues all day Saturday. GEORGIAN BAY PAINTED CHAIR SILENT AUCTION - Begnining June 20th Twenty hand painted Muskoka Chairs will be on display around town. Look for the signs and bid on your favourite chair. GEORGIAN BAY CRAFT FAIR - Saturday August 9th, 10am-4pm James Street will be closed and craft and food vendors will be set up. All of the painted chairs will be on display with the silent auction ending at 3pm. DOWNTOWN CAR SHOW - Saturday August 23rd, 9am-4pm James Street will be closed and over 100 classic and antique cars will be on display. Food vendors, Wild Willie will be playing music. Come out and vote on your favourite car. Registration for participants opens at 7am.
